It's important to note that Hotmail/Outlook.com has a built-in spam filter that automatically blocks emails that it deems as spam or potentially harmful. This filter is designed to protect your account from phishing scams, viruses, and other malicious content. However, sometimes legitimate emails can get caught in this filter, which can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue: 1. Check your Junk Email folder: Sometimes, legitimate emails can get filtered into your Junk Email folder. Please check your Junk Email folder to see if the emails you're expecting are there. 2. Add the sender's email address to your Safe Senders list: Adding the sender's email address to your Safe Senders list can help ensure that their emails are not filtered as spam. To do this, go to Settings > View all Outlook settings > Mail > Junk email > Safe senders and domains. Enter the sender's email address and click Add. 3. Check your Blocked Senders list: It's possible that the sender's email address has been accidentally added to your Blocked Senders list. To check this, go to Settings > View all Outlook settings > Mail > Junk email > Blocked senders and domains. If the sender's email address is listed here, remove it. 4. Contact the sender: It's possible that the sender's email server is experiencing issues, which is preventing their emails from being delivered to your account. Contact the sender and ask them to check their email server logs to see if there are any errors or issues. If none of the above steps work, you can try disabling the Junk Email filter temporarily to see if that resolves the issue. To do this, go to Settings > View all Outlook settings > Mail > Junk email and toggle the switch to Off. However, I would recommend turning this back on once you've resolved the issue to ensure that your account remains protected. If you're still having issues after trying these steps, you can contact Microsoft support for further assistance. You can reach them through the Microsoft Support website or through the Get Help app on Windows 10. Note: sender email address is "mail@schoolappointments.com" |
